YES Academy is a free public school that can be web-based/virtual, traditional, or a combination of both. Your education will be tailored to your wants and needs! |
Who Can Attend YES Academy?
- Alternative School Students
YES Academy will work with alternative students to enable them to earn completion of a State of Michigan endorsed high school diploma. Students can also opt for distance learning with an online teacher and local mentor teacher for maximum support.
YES Academy will work with families to design a personalized curriculum that can include projects, independent study, and work-study credit to support educational goals. Homeschool families are able to take advantage of YES Academy curriculum, including foreign language (Rosetta Stone), credit recovery, enrichment courses, and Advanced Placement courses. Dual-enrollment (college courses) are possible under certain circumstances.
If you can’t make it to class, YES Academy will come to you. YES Academy will provide you with a computer complete with Internet access so that you can attend school right from home. And, like all YES Academy courses, it’s all free!
- Traditional School Students
Students who feel their current high school is not meeting their individual needs can enroll with YES Academy and earn their high school diploma. Students may access credit recovery, enrichment courses, and Advanced Placement courses. Even dual-enrollment classes are possible! |
